Quel beau week-end ! / What a weekend!

Ça n’a pas été facile, mais nous l’avons fait. En deux belles journées ensoleillées, plus de 2 200 personnes ont marché jusqu’à 60km dans le cadre du Week-end pour vaincre les cancers féminins.

De ma part, j’ai marché 32km ce samedi dernier. Mon chemin incluait la rue Notre-Dame dans la Petite-Bourgogne (où m’attendait ma famille), le pont Charlevoix, la rue d’Argenson à Pointe St-Charles, et tout le long du boulevard Lasalle à Verdun. Nous sommes vraiment chanceux d’habiter un quartier si beau !

Un gros MERCI à tous ceux qui nous ont encouragés sur la route. L’événement a ramassé plus de 5,1 millions de dollars pour aider à vaincre le cancer. Quel succès !

It wasn’t easy, but we did it. Over two gloriously sunny days, more than 2200 people walked up to 60km in the Weekend to End Women’s Cancers.

I myself walked 32km this past Saturday. My route included Notre-Dame St. in Little Burgundy (where my family was waiting for me), Charlevoix bridge, d’Argenson in Point St. Charles, and all along Lasalle Boulevard in Verdun. We are truly lucky to live in such a beautiful area!

A big THANK YOU to all those who cheered us on along the route. The event raised more than $5.1 million to help end cancer. What a success!

Demain, je marche! / Tomorrow, I'm walkin'!

Demain, samedi 28 août, je marche 30 kilomètres dans le cadre du Week-end pour vaincre les cancers féminins. Une chance que j’ai une très belle équipe de femmes avec moi! Venez nous encourager aux endroits suivants à Jeanne-Le Ber:

• au croisement d’Argenson et Mullins à Pointe St-Charles vers 11h
• au Parc Wilcox, croisement de Lasalle et Woodland, Verdun vers 11h45
